SCO Hit with Another DDoS Attack

SCO Hit with Another DDoS Attack

Around four o'clock Wednesday morning Utah time, the SCO Group was hit with another large-scale Denial of Service (DDoS) attack that disabled its Web site and corporate traffic like e-mail, its intranet and customer support, it said.

That makes at least three times now, although the others were kinda strung out and looked like more.

SCO described this one as a syn attack and said it meant several thousand servers were compromised and used to overload SCO's Web site with illegitimate Web site requests.

By Thursday it was complaining that that the attack had expanded to involve its file servers. The cops were called again.

Linux faithful claim it's all a big lie and that somebody kicked a cable out of its socket or there was a HDD failure, either that or SCO is incompetent in defending itself.
